Welcome to the homepage of the Local Government of Budapest Capital’s II District.
Our quarter is a special one. One can find here both the drift of the city and
the considerable, almost untouched green area as well. This district is special
for the fact that the number of the children have been continuously increased
and because – in contrary to many other settlements - we haven’t had to close
any school recently. We aim on dialogues and cooperation concerning issues of
regional interest; our efforts have not been set back by the discordance that
often poisons public life. Our cultural work is active and varied. The busy intellectual
and communal life is supported by local governmental-, ecclesiastical- and private
schools of great tradition, furthermore by cultural institutes and civil organizations.
We have a rich inheritance regarding the relics of the city history as well: starting
from the church of Árpád-age through the monuments of the Turkish reign until
the former, but recently renewed industrial real estate we can be proud of countless
architectural rarities and curiosities. Consequently we have many things to take
care of.
Therefore we are not allowed to turn away from the intention of acting each day
in a manner that is characterized by keeping the traditions and a future-shaping
way of thinking as well.
With the help of our renewed homepage we wish to achieve two main targets.
First of all we would like to help the everyday administration of the citizens
of our district. On our sites you can find all the important information, you
can load forms, fix appointments in the document registering office, you can even
arrange some of your affairs electronically. We keep in view an easy-flowing administration.
On the other side we would also like to introduce this beautiful quarter to our
guests and share with them our happiness offered by the natural and architectural
values of our residence. We hope we have aroused your interest and sympathy, and
